Changes to SIL Growth & Meat indexes

Growth & meat indexes revised to improve useability ...
SIL has had a major revision of its Growth & Meat indexes to simplify the system and make them more intuitive to use. Economic weightings overall have not changed but how we look at genetic merit has been modified. The new Meat (Yield) index is now independent of Growth while, for Dual Purpose sheep, we have separate Lamb Growth from Ewe size. For these and other changes, click on the following links
