Some SIL flocks suffered higher than usual lamb losses in the 2010 lambing season. Such losses can impact on SIL measures of genetic merit for Lamb Survival. Strategies you can use to minimise the impact are not the same for all situations. This document outlines the issues so you can decide what is best for your situation.
