The SIL Advanced Central Evaluation (SIL-ACE) is New Zealands national across flock and breed evaluation to identify the best rams for economic traits. Ram breeders provide permission for their flock to be included, and the flock also has to satisfy specific criteria. These include recording on SIL and having good genetic connections with other flocks. Rams from other flocks are listed if they have been used in connected flocks with sufficient progeny evaluated. SIL-ACE evaluations are made possible by genetic links between breeds: generated by breeders and the Beef+Lamb New Zealand Central Progeny Test.
